P-54: Guideline for Enhancing Security Culture

A comprehensive security culture is one that continuously evolves to protect company assets, manage and mitigate risks, and facilitate business objectives. A company’s security program should consider things beyond the traditional approach of guards, gates, and cameras. A company should harmonize the efforts and collaborations of all employees at all levels, across all business functions, while addressing evolving risks in domestic and global threat environments.

This publication is to serve in conjunction with other CGA security publications in an effort to provide guidance for enhancing a company’s overall security culture. CGA’s security publications include:
• CGA P-50, Site Security Standard;
• CGA P-51, Transportation Security Standard for the Compressed Gas Industry;
• CGA P-52, Security Standard for Qualifying Customers Purchasing Compressed Gases; and
• CGA P-53, Security Code Top Screen.
